For a significant part of my life, I pronounced “suites” as “sue-ee-tees.” I have yet to live it down.

In a HS Lit Mag meeting one time, I looked at the word “niche,” which I knew! But still, my mouth asked the room, “What does ‘nee-chay’ mean?” And then there was some confusion, because Nietzsche. 
holy crap I spelled Nietzsche right on the first try though. THE UNIVERSE HAS REDEEMED ME.
eta: Also Vee and Deb told me how to say “chimera” this weekend but I already forgot.
